Indiegogo campaign tracking

I would say go for it. You have a plan how to go on, i.e. producing new video content to get YT’s (and other outlets’) attention, and I think that’s what will really work. To use the extra campaign time as best as possible, do set aside some time for promotional activities in your planning; a very small delay is worth it, since now is the time you can bring in the needed funds (and awareness) - it will be harder later with just your own website.

Well, at the moment, you only know your goal and the state of the current development. Sure, the project would benefit a little more publicity. As already written, the target group should be defined, so you can better assess, what you should show in videos. Work out, what differentiates your product from already common games. The setting “Neolithic” is initially an allotment feature, presumably the mass of the players can imagine little under it. “Like Far Cry” leads to the wrong path and except for Age of Empires 1, nothing else happens to me. (Even I can imagine your project only incomprehensibly - pure curiosity induced me to back) I think, through the very long-lasting period of this era, must play the game almost inevitably into the Iron Age. Especially since these periods have been overlapping globally. The statement: “If we get X €, we do this and if we still get Y €, then also that” is opposite: “Either we make a complete, great game or half a mediocre”. It’s in your hands, we, your fans have already decided us.
In the future try to write to specialist publishers, give interviews, continue to use your channels of the past - it has worked. If your product has the necessary maturity, journalists will go to you, do not worry. What else should they write about? The trivial unitary slime?
Let’s start: What games have we played Backer so far and how old are we? Then we learn about the target group of the courageous and could draw conclusions about average age, preferred genre and setting, etc.

(sorry for my english)

I’d say go for it, if I had to guess I would say the majority of backers would be alright with the game taking a little longer to get finished if it meant we would get a more complete experience, and we could secure the development of future Bronze Age DLCs.

In my experience it would be the first indie-game, that would finish on time …

I am for a time extention too. This indiegoogo campaign raise nearly 60K with little time investement and no new videos from major youtubers. Moreover some people could have see the game on kickstarter and not funded it because they thought the goal was too high to be reach.
Now that the base game is secure, new videos from youtubers could bring more people so I think it worth it.

I agree also. Go with the time expansion the new videos and gameplay features will bring more YouTubers to be interested and will do a review of your game which in turn will bring more people to back it

German backers are currently somewhat unsettled by the disaster with “Unsung Story” (KS project). I’m not sure if a new start of a campaign would be wise at this time. Also, in 3 weeks is gamecom, many will be waiting to see what is presented there.

60k reached, congratulations  I’ll have to redesign my chart if you extend the campaign.

Indeed well done. I hoped you’ll reach the 70k mark so you guys could have a small office but I am sure you will be ok

Yes, finally we are going to extend it in a few hours.
Indiegogo recommendation is to do it about 12 to 6 hours before ending.

That makes sense!

@Marko An update of your highly esteemed statistics appears.
It looks as if it were more of a creeping - but steady - source. Not bad either. Was similar to Star-Citizen for a time.

Come again? Appears?
I promise I’ll post an update on Wednesday.

I hope you will reach the costal cities dlc. Or at least get a nice office. You’ll be much more productive without any distractions

I was wondering, when these new vids will be released? Are they already out there? Will the devs let us know?
Since the campaign has been extended, I hope there will be something soon

We will let you know.

An updated graph at day 35; note that the linear trend is now calculated on the basis of the last 10 days.

The growth has slowed down lately (the last spike included one final Deity pledge; the Shaman tier is not that attractive), and with no major changes we can perhaps look at 90k in the end. This means that promo work with a hope for a game-changer of some sort would be most welcome, as it would be a shame not to use the crowdfunding campaign to its full extent.
