I was thinking about how the culmination of knowledge was kept before the library was thought of. So I was thinking about the ancient cave paintings in France. Maybe in-game, that can be how the tribe keeps tech and histories.

Good thought. I am in doubt whether cave painting was still practiced in the Neolithic. Since times our experts should be asked. Could I imagine that there were drawings on leather …?
