DAWN OF MAN :( looks a bit like you idea

I don’t think anyone should be bothered. The graphics, detail & general depth of AC is far superior. No comparison.

Hello all,
we probably will see AC devs reporting soon on the game evolution.
I have no doubt that if devs take half a day to put in place a kind of “press kit” containing high levels graphics, games achievement since here, ongoing activities, and key points of the game for its release date, for sure AC will become just stronger.
I suggest devs to take advantage on DoM by using him, each time you will find a new article on it you shall raise your hands to say “hello, we’re here :)”.
Smart people will only want to play your game which is seems to be much more deeper in term of game-play.
The game of this is just to make sure people is aware you exist. The rest will be natural

Keep going ! Good luck with the last 6 months !
I CAN’T wait to see a game-play preview …!
Cheers.

It actually looks pretty good to me, its slated for release march 1st of 2019. Hopefully those of us who are lord+ donators will have closed beta access to ancient cities by then. Either way I plan to record and upload both when im able to. I never post here but I check updates at least once a week, so yeah im excited to test these games out.

I am more of the “it’s ready when it’s ready” kind of guy but I must admit that after watching Keralis’s “First Look” on Dawn of Man, I decided to log on after a while and check out when our beta is coming out. If I remember well Indiegogo said December
I have been following your posts on posts on Twitter and read about the delay but still.

DoM looks interesting enough and much more complex than I expected but their graphics, model & animations pale in comparison to the WIP photos and videos you have posted. Being the gfx whore that I am, I am really looking forward to your release now, to see how it stacks up against the “opposition”. I think it’s time that I read some of the forum posts to see where you’re at - watching these playthroughs of DoM made more anxious to see your take on the genre.

Are you going to be working with YouTube content creators with playthroughs of the beta, etc? I am not in such a hurry to play the game (I have a lot of games installed that I am currently enjoying) but I would love to see a playthrough like the above! Keralis is a riot and has about 2M subscribers!!! It would be great publicity for the game.

My last three games I bought were played and presented by Keralis  he can really make me wanting a game with his type of work

Wow, they advance so quickly (2 techs in less than a day)! I assume technological progression in Ancient Cities will be much slower.

Looks quite nice actually. I hoped for Ancient Cities to be this far along by now.

Hopefully 2019 will bring us regular news & updates.

In fact, the second in a genre has an advantage of doing something better and more original on top of the pioneer. THE WORLDS OF GAMES TODAY or you introduce a game well or so critics. Being the second has the advantage of claiming that the new genre is evolving. Write your review of Farming Simulator if it is sold out, I bought it but it is very complicated. GOOD GRAPHICS, BIG MAP MANY MACHINES. But the sin of commands is too much and nothing intuitive! Type example; Command And it will open doors universally for machines and everything, it is not. So the voice is not realistic - it does not cut, it depends on the type of cut. Very strange and unrealistic. For me the maximum “REAL FARM”, “AGRICULTURAL DYNASTY” are best in the genre. They innovated with a real social simulation. Real Farm with the beginning of career as a farm employee. Farmy Dynasty, because you can start as a grandson on a farm abandoned by your deceased grandfather and you acquire by inheritance, can build a family, interact socially with NPC avatars. The choice of handiwork, honest work, cheating diminishes their social benefits and affects their job demand, the type of intruder makes a farm from others or steal a hammer, you see. Simulador Agropecuária. There are many machines, that’s all. Puro Cultivo has a good proposal, agriculture of each country with some exclusive cults per country. Perfect But their maps disappoint of small. Perform a perfect set of SCS SOFTWARE standard drawings, complete country maps with roads, cities. It would make the game very interesting. Could have the map of each country complete or by DLC of interest would be perfect. And make a social life of farmy dynasty and royal farm. MY FRIEND … PURE AGRICULTURE WOULD BE THE BEST GAME. For now it’s a good idea and promise. Old Towns, being the 2nd game of the genre has advantages in graphics and what everything indicates content and dynamics! The hard comes after, maintain or improve the environment because others do - Neolithic evolve. It can despair others to the genre of game. So I do not care about this now. First game well done that is good reviews. Good graphics, intuitive commands. neither too few nor too much. Why is the system of resources and make objects that the game already has or has primitive tools and machines, yes they existed. This facilitates and gives more gameplay than mere keyboard command

In fact the evolution very diverse. Some are very slow and others are fast. This is what the MOVIE “10,000 AC”, records correctly. There were societies in various stages. The valleys of rivers with sets of cities where agriculture stood out at the level of having surpluses, have bloomed to the level of “metropoles” in the Neolithic with its 5 thousand to 10 thousand inhabitants, some even more in 20 thousand! We can see this in the Nile River valley both in Sudan and Egypt, Iraq, India / Pakistan, China. Europe itself has many good examples. Others became urban by trade in mines or busy ports. I can only say that it was not as static as we imagine. And the game the cities must evolve slowly, but in a very peculiar way having commerce, defense and levels of skills of the residents counting on this, I say have specialists. Surely also the definition elements make in your people defined layers more closed or open the absorption of other elements, has advantages and disadvantages. What kinds of things will you tolerate from this newbie; religion? sexual practice food practice? But he’s your only iron expert, for example! So your group is closed to foreigners, but you admitted to being a specialist. What to do, it can give you advantages! But you have all the people to appease! What do you do ? What will you tolerate or not? What will you tolerate, will it satisfy the people, already displeased with the stranger? ! Will you use it only to form your own people some in being experts with iron and forge? I do not know if it will be in AC, but I think of the dilemmas that leaders must have faced. How to explain that you sold 3 months of hard hunt in hides to get your group wheat seeds? How to explain the advantages! For us it seems obvious, but a hunter would feel at my judgment, used or exploited, perhaps not so much, but hurt, hoping he would have a more useful exchange than at other times and would not appeal a handful of seeds - to him worthless.

A very happy new year to all forum member and of course the developers!
Ok. Seeing that you are keeping tabs on the “competition”, just a small note on its progress.

Keralis’s playthrough series of DoM has an average of around 100K viewers and was so successful, that he started a second season. As I wrote previously, the game is more complex than I expected but then again also very shallow, as you reach a plateau “relatively quickly” if that makes any sense…
TBH, I didn’t expect such an overwhelming response to this type of game but then again Keralis is an entertaining dude and he has his own following on any game he plays
I even watched through most, if not all of the episodes. The result of this exposure coupled with their 1 month beta, is that the game has generated a huge amount of traction and a lot of people seem very eager to play it plus they have contributed a lot of interesting ideas & comments for its development.
From what I have read on your pinned Twitter post, AC’s logic is totally different to DoM, especially regarding technology but having a look at those comments could be useful. I am getting the impression that a lot of folk would love to play a game that spans through different eras, even if this evolution comes through a steady stream of DLC’s. Just a thought.

I have watched the videos, I must say that it is more and more like what is made here. I also saw the first video that came out, then it seemed a little bit. now it looks more like it, the quality has not improved after my opinion, bit age or empire details, it is not a race, I think they want to release it earlier, but I do not see any competition ancient cities light kwa details un much better only the house is already 5 times more details than dawn or man. the evolition is going very fast, hoping that this is not the case with ancient cities. would be nice if you can build endlessly like (anno) series,
